A celebration was organized for the children of fallen service members

On February 21, 2026, ahead of the beginning of Great Lent, with the support of the Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland, who raised funds in Ireland, a celebration was organized for the children of fallen and active Defenders, and 120 gifts were presented.

The event took place at the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy. We are grateful to the Kyiv Metropolia for their support in organizing the celebration.

His Beatitude Metropolitan Epiphanius attended the children’s celebration, presented gifts to the children, and spoke with them. He wished all of us peace, victory, and God’s blessing.

Representatives of the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center, as well as the SOF Veterans Center, were also present at the event.

Such events are not only about traditions, but about care — ensuring that the children of our Defenders feel the attention, love, and gratitude of society.

Despite air raid alerts, missile attacks on Ukraine, and the need to take shelter, the celebration was a success.
