Invitation to the Opening of the photo exhibition “Ireland through the eyes of Ukrainians”
The Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland (AURI) organized a photo contest for Ukrainians in Ireland, initiated to showcase Ukrainian passion for this country and its people to the Irish community.
“The second anniversary of the war in Ukraine and our stay in Ireland is a reminder for us to think about who we are for this country, how we see it and what we are ready to bring to life on the hospitable emerald island,” say the organizers.
In an effort to express our gratitude to Ireland, Ukrainians have been submitting beautiful and life-affirming photos taken during their time here.
The best photos will be printed and placed for photo exhibition “Ireland through the eyes of Ukrainians” running from 17 to 24 February 2024 in the Cavan Library Reading Room. Be sure to come see the magical flashes of Irish motifs.
The opening of the exhibition will take place on February 17, 2024 at 4 p.m. in Johnston Central Library, Farnham Street, Cavan, H12 V3W4.
Officials, participants and winners of the competition are expected at the event.
We invite everyone to attend the launch and support the Ukrainian community in our desire to become a part of the international community in Ireland.
Contest is held with a support of Cavan County Local Development, Cavan County Council, Cavan County Library, Cavan Volunteer Centre, The Anglo-Celt, RV Design.
