Fashion show of Ukrainians in Ireland

Events

A fashion show with the participation of Ukrainians was held in the STANDUN fashion boutique. All funds raised from the sale of the presented images will go to the needs of Ukrainian refugees who come to Galway.

The vast majority of Ukrainians who came to Ireland because of the war in Ukraine did not flee poverty. They are enlightened and educated people, Europeans who have had progressive economic and cultural development. However, forced to flee the war, they left everything with their children in their arms to be safe.

And not for nothing that this safe place was Ireland. The Irish are actively helping Ukrainians return to normal life. This applies not only to basic necessities but also to psychological support and moral satisfaction. It is incredible! The endless number of cultural events created for Ukrainians across Ireland is extremely diverse.

The last such unforgettable event was a fashion show in the small village of Spiddal, near Galway. This is not just a family event – it is a charity event with an interesting program. 9 Ukrainian and 9 Irish people modelled in the Fashion Show, from old to young. They are not all professional models, but they gladly volunteered to be models.

And one of the organizers was a young Ukrainian Elizaveta Lobodenko, from Vyshhorod, near Kyiv, who happily remembered her previous life in Ukraine, when she organized more than one such event.

In addition to Lisa, the event was organized by local volunteers Orla Concannon and Jenny Gallagher, who are constantly tirelessly helping Ukrainians who have settled in their community. Everyone knows them personally and can ask any question that will be resolved!

The idea for this event came from Cliona Standun the owner of STANDUN’S store and her staff manager Deirdre. It’s not just a shop, it’s a wonderful place with a positive atmosphere, quality things and friendly staff!

The purpose of this show was to raise funds for Ukrainians who come to the village of Spiddal and have a number of urgent needs.

So, the event was held as planned! Even better!
