Creative Evening with Nadija Postemska in Cavan: Poetry, Music, and the Strength of the Ukrainian Spirit

Події

A heartfelt, warm, and deeply emotional creative evening took place at the Ukrainian Center “Palianytsia” in Cavan, featuring the talented poet, translator, and volunteer Nadija Postemska, who presented her new — already fifth — poetry collection “Between the Eternal and the Earthly.”

It was an evening where words, music, stories, and humanity intertwined — everything that heals, unites, and reminds each of us why it is so important to preserve Ukrainian culture even far from home.

The event began with a moment of silence in memory of all who gave their lives for Ukraine’s freedom and for those who have died in the cruel and unjust war. From this note of sincere remembrance and gratitude, a special atmosphere was created — one in which the Ukrainian word resonated especially deeply.

Nadija Postemska’s poetry alternated with songs performed by the band “Slava Ukraini” and by the composer Jonas Kriauklys, Nadija’s husband.
Every listener experienced each poem in their own way — and this is what made the performances so moving.
Special thanks go to Father Taras from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church in Sligo, who came to greet the Ukrainian community of Cavan.

Nadija Postemska also presented Ukrainian language teacher at the Cavan Ukrainian Development Center with books from Halyna Rybachuk-Prach — an important contribution to the preservation and development of the Ukrainian language among children in Ireland.

The evening concluded with friendly conversations in a warm atmosphere.
Sincere gratitude to everyone who helped organize and enrich this event: the volunteers of the “Palianytsia” center, the musicians, the readers, and all the guests!

And ahead — a cultural tour across Ireland!

The creative evening in Cavan became the first step in a Ukrainian cultural tour across Ireland. Nadija Postemska plans to visit communities in various cities so that word and song continue to unite Ukrainians, wherever they may live.

If you would like to invite Ms. Nadija to your city — feel free to reach out! The doors to her creativity are always open.
