AURI Donated Raised Funds for Gifts to Children of Ukrainian Defenders

Ahead of Easter and at the beginning of Great Lent in 2026, with the support of the Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland, which raised funds within the Ukrainian community in Ireland, a series of festive events was organized for the children of Ukrainian defenders, children of fallen soldiers, and Sunday school students.

All funds raised were fully allocated to purchasing gifts for the children. Thanks to this support, over 240 children received not only presents but also much-needed care, attention, and warmth.

Through the joint efforts of partners — the charitable foundation Gurtom UA, the Kyiv Metropolis, and the creative agency Territory A — it was possible to create truly meaningful celebrations for children during a challenging time.

Both events took place within the walls of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy, with the support of the Kyiv Metropolis, creating a special atmosphere of warmth, spirituality, and unity.

A special honor for all participants was the presence of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine — Epiphanius. His Beatitude spoke with the children, presented them with gifts, and offered heartfelt words of support, wishing for peace, victory, and God’s blessing.

The program was filled with joy and creativity: hands-on workshops, including traditional Easter egg painting, a концерт program, and sincere moments of happiness that allowed children to simply be children — surrounded by care and positivity.

The February event was also attended by representatives of the Kyiv City Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center and the SOF Veterans Center, highlighting the importance of unity between the military, veterans, and society.

Despite difficult circumstances — air raid alerts and ongoing security threats — these events took place, proving that compassion, solidarity, and humanity are stronger than any challenge.
